Welcome to Instead Technologies: Innovation to Improve Lives

At Instead Technologies, we are dedicated to developing innovative technological solutions through collaboration with universities and healthcare professionals. Our mission is clear: to make technology accessible and useful for everyone, ensuring that it adapts to people, not the other way around. We work closely with Universidad Miguel Hernández and other research centers to create advanced tools that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, chronic conditions, and other medical challenges.

A Commitment to Innovation

Founded in Elche, Spain, Instead Technologies was launched by a multidisciplinary team from Universidad Miguel Hernández to address the unique needs of individuals with severe disabilities. Since its inception, the company has created advanced assistive devices and robotic tools designed to facilitate neurological recovery and enhance the medical and social wellbeing of people.

Innovation Through Collaboration

In our constant pursuit of developing solutions that positively impact people’s lives, we collaborate with prestigious institutions, such as Universidad Miguel Hernández, to create devices that enable the evaluation, diagnosis, and monitoring of mobility in people with disabilities. These include:

Nemty: A VR (virtual Reality) device that measures and analyzes mobility parameters, providing valuable data for diagnosis and therapeutic progress tracking.

Streetlab: A tool designed to assess mobility in controlled environments, helping healthcare professionals optimize treatments and care.

Advanced Assistance and Diagnostic Solutions

Our products encompass technologies designed for rehabilitation, mobility, and health monitoring. These include:

Robotherapist 2D and 3D: Robotic systems supporting motor recovery in individuals with neurological damage. These robots provide personalized therapy by analyzing movement parameters and offering real-time feedback for two- and three-dimensional rehabilitation exercises

Breast Explorer: A fast, non-invasive ultrasound tool that automates breast scanning for early cancer detection, providing real-time monitoring and reducing acquisition time.

Argos: A system for assessing visual function in small research animals, critical in preclinical studies of neurodegenerative diseases.

Egara: A smart cane for visually impaired individuals, detecting obstacles and improving urban navigation through advanced sensors, enhancing independence and safety.
